The following is a district organized event sent on behalf of DGE Dan Doherty:

Please join us at Calgary’s historic Plaza Theatre on September 28th at 6:00 pm for a private screening of Alive Inside, a documentary that explores the ability to combat memory loss and restore a deep sense of self to those suffering from it. Also, hear about the unique Partnership with Rotary and Bethany Care Society.

With a gap in Calgary's senior and dementia care facilities, Rotary has taken the opportunity to embrace the ageing population by partnering with Bethany, a leader in southern Alberta’s senior care sector. Bethany has over seventy years of experience and established dementia care expertise.

A number of clubs from our district have committed to donate $1,000,000 to building The Atrium, a year-round indoor green space that will provide an area for Bethany residents, family, staff, volunteers, community visitors and Rotarians to gather and engage with each other. The Atrium will be one of the main features at Bethany Riverview, located in the heart of Calgary’s newest dementia care facility.

As partners, we are not only committed to providing the best care for the people that built our city and our province but also in bringing forward the stories of incredible people doing incredible things in senior care.  On September 28th, we would like to invite you to a screening of Alive Inside, a cinematic exploration of music’s capacity to reawaken our souls and uncover the deepest parts of our humanity.
